Teacher Appreciation Program
To say thank you to the moderators that regularly use SchoolTube, we've started the Teacher Appreciation Program! Teachers that upload at least 2 videos between May 1, 2008 and July 21, 2008 will receive a SchoolTube t-shirt. Teachers who upload at least 5 videos between the same dates will receive a SchoolTube polo shirt!*

SchoolTube's Summer Roundup
Summer action is just starting at SchoolTube.com with the introduction of the SchoolTube Summer Roundup. Each month the student who uploads the most videos will receive a Starbucks gift card, and a drawing will be held at the end of the summer for a $200 Best Buy gift card! In addition to the monthly prizes, Editors’ Choice honorable mentions will be awarded for those videos seen to offer exceptional content or technical quality.*

Your Voice!
Month of May: Your Ceremonies!

SchoolTube is hosting a monthly contest called Your Voice!. Your Voice: Your Ceremonies! gives students the opportunity to tell everyone about things like their parades, assemblies, graduations, and awards banquets. Winners will be chosen at random from all qualifying entries received. Entries will be accepted between May 1, 2008 and May 31, 2008. Students’ Choice Awards
The Spring 2008 Students' Choice Awards starts February 1, 2008. Upload your videos today, and vote for your favorites by giving them the star ratings you think they deserve. Videos with the highest star ratings in each SchoolTube video channel will receive one of the prestigious Students' Choice Awards. So, lights, camera, action! Think Globally, Report Locally
The People Speak in partnership with the RTNDF and SchoolTube are announcing the Think Globally, Report Locally Contest.

Participating students choose one of the four global issues chosen for the contest, find a local angle to the story, and create a 1-2 minute broadcast news story.

Three winners will receive an all expenses paid trip to attend the United Nations Foundation Youth Leadership Summit held in July at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

Get Into Energy Careers in Energy Video Contest
Launched in February 2008, the SkillsUSA/Get Into Energy Careers in Energy Video Contest is devoted to putting energy workers in a new perspective. This event gives SkillsUSA members in select occupational areas the opportunity to express themselves positively through the development of original and compelling videos about the jobs at electric, gas, and nuclear energy companies.

The winning school will receive a $300 award, up to three honorable mention awards of $100 each may also be distributed. Entries will be accepted between February 15 and June 1, 2008. Stay tuned for more details.

SkillsUSA Peer Recruitment Video Contest
The SkillsUSA Peer Recruitment Video Contest is devoted to addressing how students can interest other teens in SkillsUSA through talent, creativity, and inspiration. Students currently enrolled in grades 9-12, who are registered members of SkillsUSA, can submit entries for consideration through the February 15, 2008 deadline. Videos can be created by one individual, by a team or a whole class. The winning school will receive a $500 award, and up to three honorable mention awards of $250 each may also be distributed.*

The U.S. Army All-American Bowl is the premier high school football game in the nation. It features the nation's top 80 high school senior football players and the 91 finest high school senior marching musicians. The U.S. Army All-American Marching Band is the ultimate validation of their accomplishments.*

Five Freedoms PSAs Contest
We’re looking for dynamic, inspirational public service announcements (PSAs), 15 or 30 seconds long, that show how using the First Amendment’s Five Freedoms enriches our lives – or how not using them can stifle our Constitutional rights. Channel One's Take Action One Cup

Channel One's Take Action One Cup contest offers schools around the country the opportunity to show and tell the innovative ways teens are improving social conditions.

The winning team effort will be awarded the grand prize of $5,000 to support their school's future efforts in promoting good works, with additional prize money granted to four semi-finalist schools to aid their programs.*

Words that Shook the World:
Presidential Campaign Speech Competition
Are you interested in shadowing your favorite Presidential candidate for a day? The Words That Shook the World: Presidential Campaign Speech Competition gives you your chance.

Upload your "My Message for America: Why ___ Should Be The Next President of The United States" speech of 2 - 3 minutes. The student who submits the best speech (one student speech for each candidate) will be flown to meet and shadow their candidate for a full day on the campaign trail.

Seen and Heard: National Student Expression Contest
The Freedom Museum is accepting entries for its annual First Amendment contest showcasing student expression through film, editorial cartoons, Web design and photojournalism . Entries should focus on contemporary social, political and economic issues. The top three winning entries from each category will be displayed in the 2008 Seen and Heard Exhibit at the Freedom Museum in Chicago. This contest is open to U.S. students, grades 9-12.
