International Student Media Festival
Students and teachers from kindergarten through college are honored in
a three-day event that includes workshops, screenings of winning
entries, and an awards ceremony.
National Student Television Award for Excellence
The Foundation of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences
sponsors the National Student Television Award For Excellence, also referred to as the
"student Emmy" because it is presented by NATAS, and because final judging is done by Emmy Award recipients. The competition offers seven catagories including news,
sports, and technical achievement.

RFK High School Journalism Awards
The Robert F. Kennedy High School Journalism Awards honor
outstanding coverage of the problems of the disadvantaged in high
school journalism. Known as the "Poor People's Pulitzers" within the press arena, these
award recipients have brought to light issues spanning from child abuse
and juvenile crime to discriminatory banking practices and prejudice
against AIDS victims.The Radio-Television News Directors Association
