Here are some of the points judges will take into account:
Impact: Would this PSA catch a teen’s attention? Make that teen think about First Amendment principles? Could it change a young person’s mind about the importance of the First Amendment in his or her life?
First Amendment Principles: Do the authors understand the First Amendment? Does the PSA properly interpret the First Amendment.
Innovative Idea: Is this a unique approach to the First Amendment?
Content Quality: How is the script, the acting, spelling of any slates or signs, correct use of terms? Is this a quality product?
Visual Quality: How is the camera work, the lighting, the editing?
Audio Quality: How does this PSA sound? Could you understand the words? Was the recording level too low or too high? Did it vary within the PSA?
WOW Factor: Does this PSA leave you thinking? Is it hard to believe a student produced, shot, or wrote this PSA?
